Treatment with Generic Vardenafil improved erections in 75% of men with erectile dysfunction specifically related to traumatic spinal cord injury. The RESPITE study (Results in Spinal Cord Injury Patientss: Vardenafil for Erectile Dysfunction) demonstrated that Generic Vardenafil produced statistically and clinically significant results compared to Cialis in subjects suffering from Erectile Dysfunction following traumatic spinal cord injury. I many men treated with Vardenafil compared to an improvement from 14.8 to 16.7 for Cialis. 75% of the 215 patients taking Generic Vardenafil reported improved good erections compared to 32% of the 150 patients on Cialis. 58% of the treated population reported that their erectile function returned to normal compared to 7% who took Cialis. Study results also show a significant increase in the ejaculation success rate of the Vardenafil group compared to the Cialis group.

72% of those treated with Generic Vardenafil were able to successfully insert their penis into their partner’s vagina compared to 51% of those taking Cialis 62% of those treated with Generic Vardenafil were able to maintain good erections long enough to successfully complete intercourse compared to 18% of those taking Cialis. A secondary objective of the study was to assess the tolerability of Generic Vardenafil in many men with erectile dysfunction following traumatic spinal cord injury. Adverse events were reported by a low percentage of patients and these included headache, urinary tract infection and flushing. The study concluded that Generic Vardenafil was well tolerated in this subjects population.

About the Study

The Results in Spinal Cord Injury Patients: Generic Vardenafil for Erectile Dysfunction, study was a 14 week randomized, double blind, parallel group, multicentre trial, which studied many men with Erectile Dysfunction in an at-home setting. Dosage was titrated at weeks four and eight and patients were closely monitored including a follow-up phone call after week 14 visit. The subjects recruited to the Results in Spinal Cord Injury Patients: Generic Vardenafil for Erectile Dysfunction, study suffered with varying degrees of severity of spinal cord injury as measured by the American Spinal Injury Association impairment scale. This scale measures the level of impairment and categorizes from 1 to 5 – where Category 1 is complete impairment with no function or sensation preserved in Category 5 is normal motor and sensory function. In the study, approximately half of the patients were categorized as 1 and half were categorized as 2-4.
